- Guarantee of 24/7 Virtual Library services with universal access to information by adopting models based on advanced technological infrastructures that allow the user to access information in a transparent manner, no matter what form it takes or where it is located.
- Evaluation, selection and purchase of electronic resources according to the curricular needs of the member institutions, through formula based on economies of scale. A selection committee participates with the Virtual Services Coordinator in the selection and group purchasing process of a wide range of reliable resources in a variety of formats in line with the digital age.
- Virtual reference service (chat and e-mail) to deal with situations presented by users of the virtual library.
- Administration of Virtual Library servers and related technical support from the consortium's expert staff.
- Access to the digital repository for to organise, store, preserve and disseminate the intellectual production resulting from the academic and research activity of the institutional community.
- Advising in the area of library in the processes of accreditation or certification of academic programs.
- Discount on non-library-related training program.
- Subscription to the COBIMET mailing list, as well as to the support page for the development of digital competencies and to the exclusive area for members of the Web page.
- COBIMET membership is open to any institution that wants to offer virtual library services to its users: higher education academic institutions, K-12 schools or colleges, non-profit organizations, Government entities.
- All members pay an annual subscription fee to the consortium prior to July 31. Subscription income supports all consortium activities.
- The specialized consulting and consultancy services are not included in the membership.
