Last Friday, June 21, 2019, COBIMET was officialized as a corporate member of the Hispanic Consortium of Educational Technology Services (HETS,
HETS is a non-profit organization made up of post-secondary institutions affiliated in the United States, Puerto Rico and Latin America, serving primarily Hispanic students. It focuses on the innovative use of technology to support access to higher education and retention Hispanic student. HETS member institutions have a total of more than 28,000 teachers and administrative staff, and over half a million students, of whom about 60% are Hispanic.
"Being part of HETS allows us to participate in various activities to interact, exchange ideas and information on important topics in higher education. With this initiative we seek to promote opportunities for collaboration with higher education institutions for the development of the population we serve.", said Carlos Crespo Santiago, executive director of COBIMET.
