The material is catalogued and described in depth with metadata, based on the Dublin Core schema, allowing better ways of access to information.

The Puerto Rico Cloud Repository (PRCR) uses DSpace, a widely used open source repository software that can manage and preserve all types of digital content and facilitates indexing of that content by commercial search engines such as Google.
